Where has the time flown? We started with 3 staff and no customers and now as a group we have 4 offices, 42 staff and over 1,000 customers.
Tom and his partner at the time had a gem of an idea to provide an answering service, mainly for trades and builders, who were too busy to answer their phones or were on site doing the vital work. That was in June 2006 and by the end of the first year there were 50 customers who were mostly referrals from the 4 networking meetings a week that Tom attended.
The concept proved a success as by March 2007 there were over 100 customers. The first franchise offices came quickly and in 2007 with Gerry and Gobnait Delaney setting up in Kimmage and Tony Clarke setting up in Naas. Later Donal Daly set up his operation in Rathcoole in 2011.
The business survived the recession of 2009 – 14 and more recently COVID 19 where remote working for all businesses became the norm including Kendlebell. Customers’ needs have changed but everyone wants a professional answering service that portrays a customer focus and an instant response.
The customer profile has changed with a significant focus now on medical and professional service providers, 24 / 7 response requirements as well as new services like diary management and customer surveys.
The recent announcement of Kendlebell as a 2 time winner of the All Ireland Business All Stars award is indeed icing on the cake!
